Did you know? October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) and European Cyber Security Month (ECSM). The campaign was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every individual has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. 2018 marks the 15th year of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
To help with the campaign, the team at Wombat Security is committing to support organizations that want to elevate awareness of cybersecurity best practices among their end users.
Because infosec teams are often strapped for time and resources, which can make it difficult to deliver quality security awareness training content, Wombat has developed two free campaigns – Cybersecurity Heroes and Best Behavior Bingo – that are designed to help you easily and effectively plan and execute your NCSAM and ECSM initiatives.
Both campaigns include the following free resources:
- A communications plan that provides suggested content for emails to employees, as well as Cybersecurity Awareness Month ideas that can help you engage users and set you up for success.
- A printable activity tracker that can be shared with end users to allow them to record the activities they complete.
- Printable completion certificates that can be given to end users who participate in your NCSAM and ECSM initiatives.
- Web-based cybersecurity videos and tips that your end users can access (and share) from any connected device during Cybersecurity Awareness Month – and beyond. This includes new security awareness training content developed specifically to support the Cybersecurity Heroes campaign: our 60 Seconds to Better Security video blog series.
